Rishabh pant’s car accident:

Rishabh Pant was involved in a terrifying car accident in December 2022 while traveling from Delhi to his hometown of Roorkee. He later said that he had fallen asleep at the wheel while driving alone, causing his Mercedes to smash into a road divider and then catch fire. He was taken to a hospital in Roorkee and then transferred to Max Hospital in Dehradun for additional treatment when onlookers in the area, including a bus driver, hurried to his rescue.

Pant discussed specifics shortly after the collision in an interview with Star Sports. The Indian wicketkeeper reported that he had to realign his severely dislocated right leg.

Pant continued by saying that it was a near call for him and that if there had been any more severe injuries or nerve damage, his leg might have had to be amputated. The 26-year-old claimed that because his thoughts were diverted at the moment by the pain he was experiencing, it was the first time he had ever been afraid.

“After being severely dislocated, my right leg was realigned. I requested assistance from someone to realign the leg. I put it back into the slot that time.

Had there been any other severe injuries or damage to the nerves, we might have had to amputate my leg.

Rishabh pant recovery: how he did it?

The journey of Rishabh Pant recovery & comeback couldn’t have been possible without the support of his family, close friends and of course doctors.

It is nothing short of a miracle that Rishabh Pant recovered totally from his catastrophic vehicle accident in December of 2022 in just sixteen months. This is a marvel of Pant’s strong will power and passion. Pant has been cleared to play as a wicketkeeper batter for the Delhi Capitals in the 2024 Indian Premier League. But there was no denying that the road to recovery wasn’t simple. Serious questions arose after the tragedy, such as whether Pant would ever be able to walk or even play cricket again for the country. At that time it was impossible to answer this question.

Rishabh Pant underwent multiple surgeries, including the reconstruction of three ligaments in his right knee. The Indian wicketkeeper-batter also sustained damage to the top layer of his skin on his back after having to be extricated from his flaming automobile, in addition to fractures to his wrist and ankle.

In a video address to the BCCI, Dr. Dinshaw Pardiwala said that after informing the cricket player that he would require at least 18 months to recover, Rishabh Pant challenged him to a 12-month recovery. Resuming competitive cricket in less than 15 months is nothing short of a miracle, Dr. Dinshaw continued.

Throughout his convalescence, Pant worked diligently at the NCA, keeping his pledge.
“The best moment for me was when I was able to walk without using crutches. I took joy in everything, so I started jogging a little bit, which was a high point for me. After that, I started batting and keeping,” the 26-year-old added.

Pardiwala stated that there was a need to address the complicated knee injury, the trauma that followed the incident, and Pant’s personal annoyance at being off the cricket field in a productive way.

” Since everything breaks, knee dislocations are among the worst injuries for surgeons. “You have to regain your stability and your ability to absorb shocks,” he said.

Finally by god grace Rishabh pant recovery is fully done and he is ready to rock again in IPL 2024.
